This font is best described as a soaking wet, edgy display face with violent tendencies.
I created this face for a dummy cover I designed for the cover of Thomas Pynchon's 1966 novel, The Crying of Lot 49. Ergo, it's meant to be a display type, best viewed with ATM at sizes above and beyond 24 points. All the letters are caps, there are only two numbers, and there's also a sprinkling of special characters, including a really big hyphen and the WASTE logo -- a muted posthorn.
Pierce Inverarity's companion typeface, Oedipa Maas, has more characters and a slightly less psychotic personality.
This typeface is as free as it can be, seeing as I designed it for the sheer joy of playing with Fontographer and interpreting one of my favorite books ever.
